HI ARMY! WE HAVE AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!

When we learned that no birthday fan project was actively being planned for Hobi in Melbourne, we each began organizing something of our own. Eventually our paths crossed and we realized we shared the same goal: to make Hobi's birthday celebration something truly special.

Two ideas, one shared goal, and a whole lot of love for Hobi

We're happy to share that we, Jaymes (@hoyastudio_) and Flavie (@laviedeflavie), have decided to join forces, bringing our ideas, resources, and efforts together into one banner design, one fundraising campaign, and one coordinated stadium distribution plan.

We've also partnered with ARMY for ARIRANG to create a special double-sided keepsake banner: one side celebrating Hobi's birthday, and the other featuring the South Korean flag to be raised during “ARIRANG”. This is an initiative that has been displayed already on the tour in honoring the members, celebrating their Korean heritage and welcoming them openly.

Fundraising Update

Together, we've already raised $1,200! We estimate that's enough to cover banners for approximately a quarter of the stadium. We're now hoping to build on that wonderful start and raise enough to include the entire stadium, so as many ARMY as possible can share in both celebrations.

We're grateful for the kindness, generosity, and spirit of cooperation that have brought us to this point, and we hope you'll join us in making this a beautiful moment for Hobi and ARMY alike.

*all current donations have been transferred to the new collective fund by Jaymes directly.

Independence & transparency

Independently Organized

Our project is independently organised and is not affiliated with any Australian fanbase. We have partnered with ARMY for ARIRANG — an international collective campaigning for the Taegeukgi to be raised during Arirang every night in every city.

We wanted to support and collaborate with fellow ARMY organizers where possible and ARMY for ARIRANG have stepped in to support our project.

A Focus on Transparency

We're committed to keeping ARMY informed every step of the way, with transparency about who's organizing the project, how funds are raised and spent, and how banners will be produced and distributed. This information, along with project updates, will be available on our website.
